Top Three New Theories For Season Three

For those of us who are addicted to the beloved, new hit drama, Riverdale, Wednesday nights now take on a whole new excitement. Season three is here, and we are waking from our slumber in a hurry to get our next fix!

Bare Those Veins, It’s Time For Your Dose!

Season three is here! And with this new season comes new, unexpected twists. Who’s the Gargoyle king? What’s up with the Farm? Why are babies floating? Oh, and is that Alice in Fp’s bed!?

The long awaited season three of the new hit drama series, Riverdale, is finally here. We are four episodes into the new season, and already the fans have awoken, with fresh theories, allusive jokes, and yeah, some hilarious memes. We aren’t far into this seasons plot, but fans can already tell this is sure to be the best season yet. With the new baddie, the Gargoyle King, the continued mystery of The Farm, the agitating and exciting romances, and of course, flying babies, this season has fans on the edge of their seats like never before! So many theories are flying around lately, and I figured to kick off the awakening of both Riverdale, and TheRiverdaleAddict, I would go over the top three biggest ones I’ve found (from interviews with real fans!)

1. Emily Ball voices what we’re all thinking - ”In my opinion, this season is great; very suspenseful. I enjoy that.” And then gives us an interesting theory to mull over… “One theory of mine is that the farm and Edgar aren’t real and it’s all an imaginative figment.” So, our first theory here is Imaginative Figment. Emily Ball goes more in depth saying, “I think Alice and Polly are totally brainwashed and are trying to con Betty into their web.” It's clear in the way Polly and Alice speak to Betty about the farm, that they want her to join them in their (possible) delusion. But is this for better or for worse? And furthermore, going along with this theory, who would be brainwashing the dear Coopers, and why?

“Hmm, I can’t think of anyone from the core cast, maybe it’s someone we haven’t met yet. And I think it’s a way for Alice to process her grief and Polly is just along for the ride. Or she's still trying to process Jason’s death, and Dagwood and Juniper are constant reminders.” - Emily Ball continues. In the town with pep! Anything is possible, and this theory definitely has some solidity to it. What do you think? Is Edgar real, or just a figment of a groups imagination? Let me know in the comments or via email!

2. Moving on, our next theory comes from Sammyblueeyes93, and I've keyed it The Gargoyle Cult. This is a popular theory going around, spreading through Facebook groups, and fan pages. But what is it? I'm sure it'll sound familiar once I start explaining! The Gargoyle Cult is a mixture of the theory that Edgar Ever-never is the Gargoyle King, and that The Farm is very real, and very cultish. But, as all theories do, this begs the question of why? Why would Edgar be dressing up as the Gargoyle King?

“Well I feel like the farm is involved, and it's some kinda cult, and I feel that when the adults were younger it (the Gargoyle King) was the same person.” - Sammyblueeyes93.

I've gotten a few answers to this question, both directly and indirectly. Some people think he's just evil, like many bad guys, and others think that there is real motive behind his (possible) actions. And once you get into the motive, the sky's the limit. It could be any number of things - revenge, scandal, love, honor, etc - but given my experience with Riverdale, it's probably something no one will guess!

But beyond why Edgar Ever-never might be causing mayhem in Riverdale, why do fans think he is?

“Well his daughter seems to always be around and I think she is keeping an eye on Betty so she doesn't dig too deep into anything. And she was there when Betty and Ethel had their seizures.” - Says source Sammyblueeyes93. There is a lot of mystery surrounding Gryphons and Gargoyles, and The Farm, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were somehow connected. What do you think of this theory?

3. Next on our list is what I've decided to call Prison Break (and yes, this is me unashamedly referencing my other favorite TV show, Prison Break)

Archie Andrews is officially a free man, solving one of our previous mysteries, which was what's going to happen to Archie? But this doesn't leave all ends tied up, now does it? Archie is hardly home free. He may be out of prison, but he's still wanted, and not to mention, wounded. So what's going to happen to our boy-next-door?

This season may be mostly focused on Gryphons and Gargoyles, but that doesn't mean the villain from last season has fallen into the shadows. Hiram is still at large, and with him going so strongly against two of the Core Four, it's only a matter of time before something big happens.

“(about Archie) I think he could be in danger, and they get out, but I think someone might take him back. (to prison)” - Sammyblueeyes93. Here's where Prison Break comes in. What if he's taken back? Hiram will stop at nothing to destroy Archie, fans are sure of it. If he gets his hands on Archie one more time, will Archie make it away (mostly) unscathed as he's been lucky enough to do lately? Only time will tell, and unfortunately for us, there's too much time between now and the next episode. And we all know the next episode will bring more questions than it does answers, as they so often do.

So which theory is your favorite? Let me know in the comments! And if you have any theories of your own you'd like published, send it and your pen name to me via email! Thank you for reading, and don't forget to subscribe to TheRiverdaleAddict for weekly fixes.
