Crystal Correspondences

Crystals are a large part of many spiritual practices today, including Wicca, Witchcraft, Shamanism, Paganism and the largest, Reiki. The energies given from these stones can induce, enhance, lessen and heal if used accordingly. It's necessary to know their uses so I've compiled a list of many of them, so you can learn about their magical correspondences.

A's

Amazonite - is a stone of healing which aligns the physical body and energy field, thus producing a balancing, preventive and rejuvenating energy. It eliminates aggravation by dispelling irritating and negative energy. It also assists with relationships by enhancing communication, concerning love.

Amethyst - is a "stone of change, protection and enlightenment". It enhances spiritual awareness, meditation, visualization, serenity and composure. Attracts good luck and love, calms and transforms. Shifts energies to the higher frequencies of both the spiritual and ethereal levels.

Aventurine - is a powerful general healer, it brings balance to the intellect, emotions and physical being. Quells anxiety, helps in making the right decisions and shields energy drain from outside sources. Also attracts luck, abundance and success. It comforts, harmonizes and protects the heart, helping also to attract luck in love. Aventurine is a manifestation stone that can help you bring your dreams into reality.

Abalone - is a beautiful shell of the sea. It is believed to hold great healing and soothing energy, that encourages a calmer demeanor. The multidimensional pastel rainbow of colors enhance feelings of peace, beauty, compassion, and love. The Native Americans believe this shell to be a sacred shell and use it, along with sage, to carry messages to their individual versions of Heaven. Abalone is excellent to wear when you are in need of guidance in a relationship.

Agate - is one of the oldest of healing stones. As a stone of strength, it was used in ancient civilizations on the breastplates of armor, to bring warriors strength and make them victorious in battle. Agates are very protective stones, making them the perfect stones for amulets and medicine bags. They also bring us courage, emotional strength, and self-confidence.

Aquamarine - this stone clears the mind, balances emotions and strengthens personal power. In ancient times, seamen carried this stone to protect them against the dangers of the sea. It also provided them with courage. Aquamarine connects with the Heart Chakra, helping you to realize your innermost truth and promoting self-expression.

Azurite - this stone is often referred to as the “Stone of the Heavens,” as it aids in the pursuit of the heavenly self. It is believed to awaken psychic abilities, helping you to recognize intuition and spiritual guidance. It calms and relieves mental stress, helping you to clear your mind and dissolve any blocked energy. Native Americans valued it as a sacred stone for communication with Indian Spirit Guides. The Mayans are also said to have used it for sacred and mystical communication.

B's

Blue Lace Agate - awakens perceptiveness and awareness, clears the mind and enhances spiritual inspiration. It calms, soothes and uplifts thoughts. It eliminates negativity and anger. It's also a wonderful stone for activating and healing the Throat Chakra. It enhances verbal communication and expression while promoting the acceptance of your emotions. It is a very supportive stone that calms your nerves, bringing a sense of peacefulness. Blue Lace Agate is an especially helpful stone for those who may be feeling depressed or worried. It can also be used to relieve insomnia and ease tension headaches.

Blue Topaz - assists one in attaining clarity, to successfully communicate and manifest desires. It lifts burdens and helps one to see the great overall scheme of life, the 'big picture'. It also, attracts abundance, love, and relieves tension.

Black Tourmalinated Quartz - this is Clear Quartz with pieces of Black Tourmaline included in it. It is believed to be a stone of great luck and wealth. It encourages a large amount of light to encircle the body, helping you to heal on many levels. When worn, this crystal helps to unlock energy blockages within the body and create overall balance within it.

Bloodstone - this stone is a powerful healing stone that has been valued for thousands of years for its healing energy. It purifies and detoxifies the body, grounding negative energy and cleansing your body’s energy. Bloodstone also increases energy and strength, promoting a constant flow of energy throughout the body. It is a very beneficial stone for athletes and people whose jobs include a lot of physical activity.

Blue Calcite - is a stone for general healing and pain relief. It can also be used for purification and resolving back issues. This stone is especially calming and soothing, to the mind, body, and nerves. It is great for; calmly expressing differences, focus, amplifying learning and for retaining information. Liz says, "My favorite stone is currently blue calcite. I love its vines, especially due to my current stress with school".

C's

Carnelian - stimulates the energy of love and joy. Clears negative energy, allowing light to enter and transformation to occur. It has a stabilizing effect on energy in the home and awakens inner talents and creativity.

Chrysocolla - a very peaceful stone that soothes and calms us in times of stress. It connects with the Throat Chakra, helping you to create a conscious flow of words to express yourself. It gently draws off negative energies of all kinds, especially in times of transition, such as breakups or job loss. It is a wonderful stone to wear on a daily basis as a support stone or to help calm your emotions. Chrysocolla helps you to face challenges and changes with ease, inspiring inner balance and self-awareness. It also increases your capacity to love.

Chrysoprase - opens and activates the Heart Chakra, allowing for a strong flow of energy to the heart. By sending divine energies into this Chakra, it infuses you with universal love and helps you love from the heart. Chrysoprase is a stone of grace and compassion that promotes optimism, joy, and contentment. It encourages acceptance of yourself by banishing feelings of superiority or inferiority from within.

Citrine - a stone of light and happiness. It does not hold any negative energy and therefore never needs to be cleansed. It brings clarity to those who wear it and helps to manifest anything you want to bring into your life. It activates your imagination, bringing more creative visions to a clearer mind and a more positive outlook on life. This stone is powered by the sun, citrine warms, cleanses and energizes the body, energizing and strengthening the solar plexus.

Coral - also called the ‘garden of the sea’. It was believed to prevent ill fortune and offer protection from skin disease. Dreams about Coral are believed to foretell recovery from a long time illness. Ancient civilizations believed that Mars was composed of Red Coral. Coral is a good aid for meditation or visualization, as it symbolizes life and blood-force energy. On a side note, am I the only Walking Dead fan that laughs whenever someone says coral? Yes? No? Okay...

F's

Fluorite - also known as 'a stone of discernment'. It helps to find the truth that has been concealed, eases change and brings strength and protection during the transition. It also stabilizes energy and helps to bring order to chaos. Fluorite supports relationships - individuals and groups - to flourish towards the greatest good.

Fossil - supports growth and the achievement of goals by releasing limiting beliefs and old programming, encouraging openness to novel and innovative opportunities, which are available. An excellent stone for use in business to increase business accomplishments and to imbue quality and distinction within one's environment.

G's

Garnet - is a stone of health and energy that enhances energy, passion, and pleasure. It helps to move the chi and energy flow within the body, stimulating physical activity. Garnet is a good stone to help with depression, as it brings joy and hope to the wearer and helps lessen the anger directed at oneself. It also cleanses the Chakras of negative energy, re-energizing them in the process.

Goldstone - a man-made stone rich in copper. Activates Root and Sacral Chakras enhancing the energies of intuition, sexuality, desire, and vitality. Encourages faith that love is attainable once all limiting beliefs are released. It acts as a mood stabilizer on either spectrum-excitability or passivity. The sparkles of Goldstone are symbolic of light that can always be found in the darkness. It deflects unwanted energies and is highly regarded in the spirit realm as a protective mineral.

H's

Hematite - a 'stone of mental mastery'. It enhances memory, concentration and focus, while it deflects negativity. It stimulates the desire for peace and inner happiness, enhancing one's ability to attract love. Hematite is also a very protective stone that helps you to stay grounded in any situation. It absorbs negative energy and calms you in times of stress or worry. When you wear Hematite, it helps you feel balanced, calm and centered. This stone helps you to find your own, unique talents, releasing self-imposed limitations.

Howlite - a 'tranquility stone'. It calms communication, enhances emotional expression and eliminates stress, rage, and rudeness. Assists with the attainment of goals by encouraging ambition and eliminating hesitation.

J's

Jade - connected with love and virtue, it's called the 'fidelity stone'. It balances energies between self/partner and opposing energies in both the internal and external domain of one's reality. Jade promotes peace and harmony, it soothes energies, and assists in finding wisdom for problem-solving.

Yellow Jadeite/ White Jadeite - this stone of magic brings protection from the spiritual realm. It encourages group cohesiveness, understanding and actualization of purpose. Jadeite assists in grounding and accessing the limitless resources of the universe.

Jasper - known as the 'supreme nurturer'. Jasper reminds us we are here to assist others to free themselves from limiting bonds, and bring joy and light into the world. It helps to balance and unite the energy of the physical with the spiritual, toward the attainment of goals. It can be used when one's energy is low and to provide protection against negativity. Jasper is highly valued as a healing stone that is full of grounding energy. They can connect you deeply to the vibrations of the Earth, bringing a greater understanding of the power of nature. Jasper helps us to be less judgmental and know on a soul level that we are all connected. In some Native American cultures, Jasper symbolizes the blood of the Earth, making it particularly sacred.

Fancy Jasper - is a stone of gentleness and relaxation. Each piece brings about tranquility and enhances one's ability to relax. Fancy Jasper aids serenity and helps eliminate stress, worry, and depression. With this inward relaxation, the wearer has the chance to free their mind and think clearly.

Picture Jasper - a stone of proportion and harmony, wear this whenever protection from negativity is desired. A stone of 'global awareness', it stimulates creative visualization. It promotes spiritual affinity between humanity and nature. It can be used to further both the development and continuance of business pursuits.

Red Jasper - helps to rectify unfair situations, helps one to remember previous leanings and to take responsibility for one's life. A stone that helps you connect with earth energies, it facilitates the remembering of dreams especially those aspects important to one’s life.

L's

Labradorite - protects the Aura and facilitates understanding of ones chosen destiny. Helps to keep the Aura clear, balanced, protected and free from energy leaks. Facilitates the understanding of ones chosen destiny and enhances the connection between physical, ethereal and planetary realms. It supports originality and uniqueness, Labradorite also cleans and opens the Crown Chakra by stimulating the wearer’s intuition. It is a power stone that allows you to see through illusions and determine the actual form of your dreams and goals. Use Labradorite to stimulate the imagination, develop enthusiasm and to see more clearly in meditation.

Lapis Lazuli - a stone of protection and enlightenment. It assists with spiritual growth, intuitive perception, and objectivity. It's mentally calming, supports clarity and helps one to organize the day to day activities. It also, enhances serenity, acceptance, and dreams. It is a gemstone of total awareness that connects the wearer to a higher truth. Lapis Lazuli helps to foster verbal expression, opening and balancing the Throat Chakra. It provides wisdom and connects you to your spiritual guardians, shielding you from negative energy and returning any negative vibrations back to their source.

M's

Malachite - the stone of transformation. It assists in coping with setbacks, challenges and changing situations. Also, aids in releasing negative emotional experiences. Malachite helps to intuit answers, to create an unobstructed path and to identify the steps needed to attain the desired result. It brings loyalty in love, friendships, and partnerships. Malachite is also a stone of transformation. It assists in clearing and cleansing all the Chakras. It is an overall healing stone that stimulates and balances the Heart and Throat Chakras. Malachite facilitates the release of negative experiences so one can heal and regain hope. It is very inspiring, purifying and compassionate and attracts love by opening the heart.

Moonstone - a stone of changes and wishes, helps to clear obstacles on the path of destiny. It supports well-being and enhances awareness of body rhythms allowing for a better balance of the body's natural energy. Moonstone is believed to be a stone of destiny. It is strongly connected to the moon and the divine feminine, making it a wonderfully helpful stone for women. It is worn to increase fertility and harmonize the mind, providing health and protection. Moonstone helps to align the hormone production, metabolism, and reproduction. It allows deep-rooted feelings to energize and come to the forefront. Tina Gregg says, "My favorite stone is Moonstone. I wear it daily and love the calming effect it has. A very soothing stone for me".

Mother of Pearl - is the iridescent lining that forms in mollusks. It is associated with the element of water and the ocean, it's valued for its powerful healing energy. Mother of Pearl is considered to hold the energy of purity and is believed to keep evil away. It's also known to alleviate fear, promote prosperity and good luck, allowing you to see that beauty in everyday things. This is actually my birthstone!

O's

Obsidian - is a natural volcanic glass formed from molten lava that has cooled very rapidly. It is a grounding stone that provides an instant connection from the Root Chakra deep into the core of the Earth. Obsidian helps to clean and remove negative energies and assists in releasing emotions that cause negative energies such as anger, fear, jealousy, and greed. Faith John Morgan expressed that this stone was indeed her favorite because; "I feel relaxed when I have my stone around me".

Onyx - is a powerful protective stone that can shield the mind and body from electromagnetic energy. It absorbs and transforms negative energy, helping to prevent that drain of personal energy. Onyx assists with melancholy, and the release of negativity and depression. It helps to calm your fears, leaving you feeling stable and secure.

P's

Peridot - the stone of rebirth and renewal. Promotes peace and happiness; attracts success and good luck, and protects against negativity and nightmares. It's healing to damaged relationships and attracts comfort and builds vitality. Peridot has been valued for thousands of years as a semi-precious healing stone. It is a high-vibrational Heart Chakra crystal that carries a positive energy, especially helpful for those undergoing traumatic emotional situations. Peridot has the ability to bring out unconditional love, happiness, and light. This is my mother's birthstone, and I find it ironic seeing as it so closely fits her personality.

Pyrite - is commonly known to remedy financial hardship and attract abundance. The resemblance of Pyrite to gold has made it a traditional symbol for money and good luck. Its sunny golden color associates it with the sun and with the fortification and strengthening of the mind. Pyrite makes a wonderful energy shield, blocking out negativity from various sources. This is the favored stone of a friend of mine, and it's not hard to see why!

Q's

Quartz - empowers and protects by amplifying and focusing energy. It stores, releases and regulates energy; facilitates growth and awareness, alleviates anger and opens the spirit of meditation and spiritual development.

(Clear) Quartz - is a stone of manifestation that energizes and activates the energy centers within the body. It helps the wearer to think clearly, allowing them to focus and become clear about their dreams and desires. It's assists with spiritual development, and removing blockages in the body so that energy can flow smoothly.

(Rose) Quartz - is the stone of unconditional love. It is one of the most important stones for Heart Chakra work, as it opens that heart to all types of love—love of the self, love of family, love of friends and romantic love. The soothing energy of Rose Quartz, fosters empathy, reconciliation, and forgiveness of others, lowering stress and tension of the heart. It can clear out anger, jealousy, and resentment towards others, allowing the healing of heart issues caused by holding onto these negative emotions.

(Rutilated) Quartz - is Clear Quartz riddled with needle-like pieces of Golden Rutile, often called 'The Hairs of Venus'. It can clear energy blockages of all the Chakras and stimulates the alignment of the mind and body. Rutilated Quartz is said to attune you to your Divine Purpose, connecting you with the spiritual realm and your angels. It is a very uplifting stone that infuses joy into your life and the surrounding environment. It is said to speed up the healing of injuries and slow the effects of aging.

R's

Rhodonite - this is the stone of love. This love embodies care for humanity and spiritual well-being and brings order to chaos. It's emotionally supportive, as it balances and eases anxiety through clear vision. Rhodochrosite raises your self-esteem and self-worth while increasing feelings of self-love. It is a strong crystal for emotional healing that encourages you to love yourself and reach a state of joy and happiness. It is a powerful Heart Chakra stone that vibrates with the energy of love. Rhodochrosite also gives you the courage to look at things that you may have been afraid to face before.

S's

Sodalite - unites logic and intuition, enhances mediation and inner wisdom. Excellent stone for group work - mentally calming, it eliminates confusion and supports increased efficiency and organization. It helps to define clarity of purpose and direction, and to resolve issues with logic.

Selenite - is the ideal crystal for all types of energy clearing. It has the ability to clear, protect and shield your energy body as well as clearing the energy of your other crystals and home. It quickly unblocks any stagnant or negative energy to create a smooth flow of positive energy. Selenite crystals magnify the energy of any other gemstone that is placed upon it, making it perfect for reactivating and recharging your jewelry and other healing crystals. It has also been recently used in holistic medicine treatments for physical healing, including cancer treatment and tumor reduction.

Septarian/Dragons Egg - is a healing stone, that brings balance to both mind, body, and spirit. It harmonizes your emotions, your intellect, and your higher being. Septarian is also a stone of communication and is especially helpful to have on you during public speeches. This stone is also a natural stress reliever and will bring about relaxation, which is very useful during meditation. Septarian helps with skin disorders, improving metabolism, speeding up the healing of your tissues, relieving physical and emotional pain, boosting the immune system and revitalizing your mind and body.

"My favorite as of late is Septarian. I like it because of its a mixture of different minerals (like Calcite, Aragonite and some others) and the mixture of colors that make the unusual patterns on the back side. It reminds me that every person is, just like this stone, a mixture of different things, uniquely put together. T's

Tiger's Eye - helps to gain insight, to concentrate, to perceive and think more clearly, and to organize scattered details. It calms turmoil, eliminates the blues and encourages optimism and enthusiasm for life. It stimulates wealth and enhances the ability to maintain wealth. It's also a great stone for protection, wisdom granting and good luck. This is my fathers favorite stone and has been one of mine for a while now.

Tigers Eye (Blue) - this is a stone of power. It helps to unblock and open the base Chakra. It is a great assistant for perspective on issues and situations in daily life. All the while bringing powerful healing and deep peace into reality.

Tree Agate - has a cleansing, balancing and stabilizing effect on well-being. This green and white stone enhances self-esteem, clarity, perceptiveness and awakens inner talents and abilities. It also helps to see the world from a broader point of view. It fosters abundance, wealth, love and connection with nature.

Turquoise - is an anti-negativity stone and general healer. It dispels negative energy and protects the wearer. It encourages self-realization and creative problem-solving, and strengthens the body and energy field. It heals the spirit, soothes, brings peace of mind, and love.

U's

Unakite - helps to bring attention to the 'present'. Unakite provides gentle release of limiting blocks and conditions to personal growth, and balances emotions while strengthening the spiritual connection.

Z's

Zoisite - supports individuality, creativity, and uniqueness while maintaining connectedness with humanity. It is considered an excellent healer and energizer of the life force, it can be used to dispel laziness and idleness and is thought to improve health after long periods of illness or stress. It helps amplify the whole energy field of a person, to release inner talents of the mind.
